The Real Estate Industry in 2021

People are moving during a shelter in place. Work flexibility and a desire for a more spacious living are motivating people to make a change in where they call home. Inventory is in short supply. Buyer demand for homes is strong and there are not enough homes on the market which means buyers have to compete to get their new home. The competition is driving home prices higher.

COVID safety protocols have created a new process for viewing homes. Many agents are using 360 video tours and in-person showings are by appointment only. Only the agent and two cohabitating people are allowed in the property at one time. There are no more open houses or broker tours allowed.
