Mariam Whitten is a seasoned personal property appraiser and auction consultant with over 25 years of experience in the auction industry. She operates her own appraisal and advisory practice in the Bay Area and serves as the Director of Appraisal Services at John Moran Auctioneers & Appraisers.

An Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers, Mariam specializes in preparing USPAP-compliant appraisals for insurance coverage and claims, estate planning, estate tax filings, equitable distribution, and charitable donations. As a generalist appraiser, she has extensive experience valuing a wide range of personal property, including fine art, wine, decorative arts, jewelry, furniture, and books.
